Victory begins
with the draft.

A Dota draft is more than a collection of strong heroes. Synergies, counter-picks, and the gaps in your lineup matter. See the bigger picture before the match begins.

Behind the prediction

Context changes everything.

The same hero plays a different part in different lineups. The model receives match settings and both teams, and evaluates the draft in that context.

Predictions help you compare options. They do not guarantee a win: execution and decisions during the match remain in the players’ hands.

About the Dota 2 drafter

What is a Dota 2 draft analyzer?

A Dota 2 draft analyzer is an online tool for building Radiant and Dire lineups, estimating win probability, and finding heroes for open positions. It helps you compare draft options before a game or review an existing match.

How do I build a Dota 2 draft online?

Open the analyzer, choose your patch, game mode, and average rank, then add heroes to both teams. The tool updates predictions and recommendations as you select heroes.

Can I start with an empty draft?

Yes. Initial recommendations are available for every slot. As you add heroes, the model recalculates suggestions based on the selected allies and opponents.

Is the drafter free? Do I need an account?

The standard drafter, predictions, and hero recommendations are free without sign-up. An account is needed for your match history, saved preferences, and recommendations based on your hero pool.

How do I connect my match history? Do I need Steam?

Create a profile with a username and password, then add your Dota Account ID — the numeric ID from your in-game profile, not Steam ID64. No Steam login or password is needed. Matches are imported through STRATZ, recent ones first; completeness depends on data availability in STRATZ.

What does Above expected mean?

These are heroes whose observed win rate is above the average historical model estimate on the same matches. The filter requires at least 10 games with a known outcome and estimate per hero. The difference is not proof of individual skill and is not added to current draft win probability.

Do I have to configure every hero manually?

No. By default, it is your top 10 from the last 100 games in the selected mode, with at least 3 games per hero. You can choose the imported-history top 10 or set a minimum number of games per hero. Search for heroes and prioritize or exclude them individually or in bulk. The drafter uses experience across all roles; you choose which teams and positions receive personal recommendations.

Can I analyze a match by ID?

Yes. Choose “Analyze a Match ID” and enter a public match ID. The tool loads available match settings and team lineups.

Does the prediction account for patch and rank?

Yes. The analysis includes patch, game mode, lobby type, average rank, roles, and lanes for both teams. Predictions are probability estimates, not guarantees of a match’s outcome.
